Stefano Pioli maintains the 3-0 result was “too harsh” on Fiorentina considering the performance against Juventus.
The Viola had several great chances, but were punished by Rodrigo Bentancur’s solo effort, a Giorgio Chiellini acrobatic finish from a corner and Cristiano Ronaldo penalty.
“It’s a pity we didn’t finish off any of the many chances that we created, which was not easy against a great opponent,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“I don’t personally think the Ronaldo penalty was handball, because if it ricochets off another part of the body first, it can’t be a penalty.
“In any case, I don’t want to cling to any excuses.”
Fiorentina’s form has dried up completely with only five draws and two defeats in the last seven rounds.
“If there are any opportunities to improve the squad in the January transfer window, we’ll be ready.”
