Roberto Donadoni is floated as a possible successor should Fiorentina decide to fire Coach Stefano Pioli.
According to La Repubblica, Pioli could be at risk if their results continue to slide, as the Viola are without a win in seven rounds.
The 3-0 home defeat to Juventus sparked protests from the fans and local media began to discuss future options.
The favourite would appear to be Donadoni, who is currently out of work after parting company with Bologna over the summer.
Donadoni is a former Italy CT who at club level has worked at Livorno, Genoa, Napoli, Cagliari, Parma and Bologna.
