Milan-bound Lucas Paqueta and Inter loanee Gabriel Barbosa have been named in the Brazilian League’s team of the season.
Paqueta is rewarded for his 10 goals and two assists for Flamengo, who finished second in the 2018 standings, while Gabigol ran out as top scorer with 18 strikes for Santos.
The pair could line up together in Serie A next month as the attacking midfielder will join Milan and the striker is due to return to the other side of San Siro.
Coaching the 11 Bola de Prata (Silver Ball) recipients is Luiz Felipe Scolari, who led Palmeiras to the title just four years after he presided over Brazil’s 7-1 defeat to Germany in the World Cup semi-finals.
