Real Madrid reportedly sent scouts to view Roma defender Kostas Manolas and Inter striker Mauro Icardi.
They both played in a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, there were Real Madrid representatives in the stands to watch them in action.
The targets were Greek centre-back Manolas and Argentina international forward Icardi.
Neither would be available for the January transfer window, but Icardi has a €110m release clause valid only for July 1-15.
That could be renegotiated out of the next contract he signs and the Nerazzurri are in talks to work out a new deal.
Manolas has a release clause worth €36m and has already been linked with Premier League clubs.
