Exequiel Palacios’ agent has revealed that Inter and Roma want the River Plate midfielder but confessed Real Madrid are still leading the chase.
Reports in Spain last month suggested Madrid had agreed a deal to sign Palacios in January, but Renato Corsi suggested the postponement of River’s Copa Libertadores Final second leg against Boca Juniors had given hope to Inter and Roma.
“Inter, Roma and Wolfsburg have called us,” he told AS.
“Many clubs want him, but Real Madrid do the most. The two Presidents haven’t been able to talk due to the postponement of River-Boca.
“Real Madrid have brought negotiations forward with both my partner and I. The two clubs expected to hold more talks after the Final but given what happened, they didn’t.
“Still, they’ll talk again in the next few days. We also talked to Barcelona, but nothing happened after that.
“Zanetti also called me, but with Real Madrid we were already at an advanced stage so nothing came of it.”
