Piotr Zielinski assures Napoli “certainly aren’t giving anything up” in the Scudetto race, noting “Juventus have a more difficult fixture list” this month.
The Partenopei ran the champions close last season, and are eight points behind in second place so far this term.
“We certainly aren’t giving anything up,” Zielinski insisted, speaking on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“We just need to think about winning as many games as possible, then we’ll see what happens at the end.
“Right now Juventus have a more difficult fixture list, so there’s a chance to bridge the gap a little bit, but we need to think about our own matches.”
The Polish international was then asked if he’s happy to stay in Naples.
“I’m very happy to stay at Napoli, just recently I haven’t been enjoying the best period but it’s already over.
“I’m doing everything I can to do well, I’m sure I’ll be back to my levels soon.
“Carlo Ancelotti? "For us it’s a great thing to be trained by a champion like him.
“He’s won everything but he wants to do something important with us, we’re on the right track and we all get along well with the boss.
“We know everything he did, first as a player and then as a Coach, we can only get the maximum from him.
“Ancelotti is a special person, he talks to everyone and keeps us all on the same level.”
After Saturday’s Frosinone game, the Partenopei travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool in the Champions League, needing at least a draw to reach the Last 16.
“We always want to win, no matter who we play,” Zielinski said.
“Of course it’ll be difficult, but we’re in a good position. We’ll think about Liverpool after Frosinone though, because we can’t slip up on Saturday.
“We’ve had a great Champions League campaign so far against one of last year’s finalists and a PSG side who have spent a lot of money to buy important players.
“It’ll be hard at Anfield, but if we play as we know we can then we’ll get through to the next round.”
