“We showed great courage going into the game,” Di Carlo told Radio Rai. “we took it upon ourselves to attack their half of the pitch and heap the pressure on our opponents.

“We made many mistakes in the first half. We were stretched out, but we also created several chances.

“Our team needs greater conviction, but we had the right attitude. We really struggled after we went a man down, but we struggled as a team, and that makes it acceptable.”

Chievo remain unbeaten under Di Carlo and this was their fourth consecutive draw.
