Eintracht Frankfurt fans clashed with police in Piazzale Flaminio, ahead of tonight’s Europa League match with Lazio.
Tonight’s game is a dead rubber, with both sides already though, but the Germans have nonetheless brought a large travelling support.
It appears some of the visiting fans clashed with police in Piazzale Flaminio this afternoon, with the square momentarily closed off.
According to Il Messaggero, the Frankfurt fans threw exploding flares, which caused panic given the shooting in France this week.
Police moved in to subdue them, at which point a group of fans charged at the officers.
Thankfully it’s not thought anyone was injured.
