Eintracht face fine over fan trouble

Eintracht Frankfurt could face a huge fine after repeated crowd trouble in and around their Europa League match with Lazio.

There were multiple reports of problems in the city, as they left several historic squares covered in garbage, clashed with police and had five fans arrested.

The issues continued during the game at the Stadio Olimpico.

Eintracht supporters, who far out-numbered the Lazio fans in the stadium, repeatedly threw fireworks and smoke bombs on to the side of the pitch.

Even worse, in the second half they began to throw them into the section holding the Lazio supporters.

At the opening goal from Joaquin Correa, several fans managed to climb over the Plexiglas wall and run on to the pitch, where they were chased down by police.

The problems continued, as police standing in front of the Eintracht fans were pelted with smoke bombs and objects, having to hide
