Roberto Soriano looks likely to leave Torino in January, with Cagliari believed to be interested in signing him.

The midfielder joined the Granata from Villarreal this summer, signing on a loan deal with a €14m option to buy.

The 27-year-old has started only six Serie A games though, and caused controversy with the fans over the weekend.

Soriano liked two posts on Instagram after the Derby della Mole – one by Cristiano Ronaldo celebrating his goal, and the other by Juventus pointing out their 5,000th league goal.

Soriano liked two posts on Instagram after the Derby della Mole – one by Cristiano Ronaldo celebrating his goal, and the other by Juventus pointing out their 5,000th league goal.

That drew the ire of the Granata faithful, and calciomercato.com reports that Soriano is likely to leave in January.

President Urbano Cairo had already decided not to take up the option to sign him, given he’s not a first team regular, with the anger of the Toro fans only making things worse.

The loan could therefore be terminated in January, with Cagliari said to be interested in signing Soriano.
