Napoli Coach Carlo Ancelotti discusses Juventus’ striker Cristiano Ronaldo - “I don’t think he’s changed much from when I coached him”.
The pair were together at Real Madrid, winning the Champions League in 2014, but are now rivals in Serie A.
“I saw him when we played against Juventus,” Ancelotti explained to Tiki Taka.
“We didn’t speak afterward though. He seems like the usual Ronaldo to me, he’s always a very decisive and motivated player.
“I don’t think he’s changed much from when I coached him. He remains a top player, one who makes the difference.”
Juve bought CR7 to try and finally win the Champions League, but the Partenpoei were eliminated last week and will now play the Europa League.
“We care about it a lot. We haven’t managed to embark on a European journey through the front door, but we want to go as far as we can in the Europa League.
“In recent years this competition has been won by top clubs like Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United. It’s an opportunity, we have to stay competitive.”
