According to multiple sources, Gattuso must win the two remaining fixtures of 2018 against relegation battlers Frosinone on December 26 and SPAL on December 29.

Even that might not be enough, as if he doesn’t also win convincingly with much stronger performances, then Gattuso could still get the chop.

The hot favourite to take over is former Arsenal legend Wenger, currently out of work after decades in London.

Another issue troubling the club is the role of Primavera youth team Coach.

That is because Alessandro Lupi is widely expected to be fired today.

Potential Primavera tacticians include former players Federico Giunti, Marco Simone and Ibrahim Ba.
