Domenico Di Carlo felt Fabio Quagliarella’s “moment of magic changed the whole game” as Chievo lost to Sampdoria.
Quagliarella scored with an extraordinary scorpion flick from 14 yards on a set play at the dawn of the second half, Gaston Ramirez sealing the 2-0 victory.
“We faced a good team with courage and the desire to be protagonists,” the Coach told Rai Sport.
“Chievo spent long periods in the Samp penalty area, so were very positive, but Quagliarella’s moment of magic changed the whole game.”
This result was the first defeat for the Flying Donkeys since Di Carlo took charge and ended a run of six consecutive stalemates.
