Milan are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Sevilla striker Luis Muriel.
According to MilanNews.it, Milan have an ‘excellent’ relationship with Sevilla from the deal that took Andre Silva to southern Spain last summer.
The website explains the Rossoneri have already agreed a six-month loan for the ex-Sampdoria hitman with an option to buy [pictured, left] and now have to negotiate personal terms.
However, Champions League qualification would be ‘crucial’ in determining whether the Diavolo can keep him permanently, his performances at San Siro aside.
Nonetheless, there is confidence that Milan will beat Fiorentina and Roma to Muriel’s signature, satisfying Gennaro Gattuso’s desire for an attacker who can play through the middle or out wide.
