Lazio President Claudio Lotito has been fined €10,000 for insulting the referee, but the club avoids punishment for racist chants.
The incidents occurred during the Serie A draw against Torino on December 29.
At half-time, Lotito burst into the referee’s locker room and insulted the officials, earning him a warning and €10,000 fine.
However, there is no mention in the disciplinary commission’s report of the clearly audible racist chants aimed at Torino midfielder Soualiho Meite when he was sent off.
Video clips show that after Meite was red carded for striking Francesco Acerbi, the crowd made audible ‘monkey noises’ towards the Torino player.
