West Ham United are still believed to be interested in Inter striker Gabriel Barbosa, though there’s doubt over whether he’d get a work permit.

The Brazilian international, known as Gabigol, joined the Nerazzurri for €33.5m in the summer of 2016, but didn’t make a single league start and scored only once.

After a failed loan spell at Benfica, he was sent back to his former club Santos until the end of the Brazilian Serie A season.

Gabigol’s loan spell has now ended though, and there’s no space for him in Luciano Spalletti’s squad.

Flamengo are interested in bringing him back to Brazil, but West Ham have also been linked with a move.

According to Sky Italia, the Hammers are very much still interested, but it’s not clear if Gabigol would be granted a British work permit.

If he can get one, the Brazilian is happy to make the move to London.
