Lazio director Igli Tare warns fans to expect “more players on the way out than coming in” during the January transfer window.

The market officially opened today in Italy and will come to a close on January 31.

“I can say from the start that for Lazio there will be more players on the way out than coming in,” Tare told Sky Sport Italia.

“We want to achieve the objectives that are fundamental for the growth of the club, first of all Champions League qualification. We’ve been getting close for years and hope this can be the right season to make it, perhaps without obstacles in our way.”

The Biancocelesti have been vocal in their complaints about refereeing decisions, even more so now that VAR has been introduced.

“We hope that the VAR and referees can start the new year with greater calm. It’s difficult to forget the wrong calls that damaged us, but we have to keep clear heads and go forward.”
