Roma have set their sights on Atalanta defender Gianluca Mancini, but the 22-year-old is already expected to cost €25m.
The Orobici continue to churn out talents, having picked up the centre-back from the Perugia youth academy in January 2017.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma director Monchi has pin-pointed Mancini as the ideal reinforcement for their defence going forward, particularly with Kostas Manolas attracting interest from Juventus and the Premier League.
He has shown an eye for goal, scoring five this season in 17 games between Serie A and the Europa League qualifiers.
Atalanta have slapped a €25m price-tag on the Italy Under-21 international.
It’s possible a deal could be agreed in the current window, with Mancini remaining on loan with Atalanta until the end of the season.
