According to Sportitalia and The Sun newspaper, Maurizio Sarri still has his heart set on a reunion with his ex-Napoli hitman Higuain.

The move could be possible in January if Chelsea offer to loan misfiring Morata to Milan, then pay the outstanding €36m for Higuain to Juventus.

Interrupting it six months early would also mean the cost of the Higuain loan would be reduced to €9m.

Sportitalia claim a meeting between Chelsea and Juve is planned for next week to discuss the situation.

Naturally, Milan would also have to give the all-clear, which is why Morata is part of the equation.

It is also suggested that the Stamford Bridge side approached Paris Saint-Germain for Edinson Cavani, but this was just a request for information more than a genuine negotiation.
