A surprising report suggests Milan could send Andre Silva to Juventus in exchange for Gonzalo Higuain, reuniting him with Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to CalcioNews24.com, a story that has since been picked up in Spain and Portugal, the deal could help resolve several problems simultaneously.
Andre Silva is currently on loan at Sevilla for €4m with an option to buy for another €39m.
He has been a hit in Spain, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in 23 competitive appearances.
Milan replaced the Portugal international by signing Higuain from Juventus, on loan for €18m with option to buy for a further €36m.
A change in their Financial Fair Play situation means purchasing Pipita might be tricky, but they could always hand over Andre Silva as payment instead.
It is claimed Cristiano Ronaldo is eager to form the Portuguese pairing, as 23-year-old Andre Silva has a spectacular 15 goals in 31 senior caps, and both are represented by agent Jorge Mendes.
There is at least one rather large problem in all this, namely Sevilla’s option to buy Andre Silva for €39m.
The way around it would be to ensure Andre Silva doesn’t agree personal terms with Sevilla and pushes for a return to Milan, so he can be immediately handed over to Juve.
CalcioNews24.com is at pains to point out this is currently just an idea on the table and no concrete steps have been taken, but it would certainly be an intriguing transfer merry-go-round for the summer.
