According to Spanish television programme El Chiringuito, Florentino Perez has realised his pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is doomed to failure, so is turning his focus towards Allegri for next season.

The 51-year-old is under contract until June 2020, but there have been persistent reports he’ll leave Juventus in the summer, to be replaced by former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.

However, today’s edition of Tuttosport claims that Juve and Allegri are increasingly considering the possibility of an even longer stint together.

He could become the longest-serving Juventus tactician since legend Giovanni Trapattoni.

The Turin-based newspaper maintains Allegri will make a decision on his future by March.
