Hector Herrera will be a free agent when his FC Porto contract expires, but Inter were reportedly put off by commission demands, boosting Roma’s hopes.
The Mexico international is said to be pushing for a move to Serie A, having come close in the past and preferring this destination to the Premier League.
His representative Gabriel Moraes is heading to Italy for meetings with both Inter and Roma.
He is asking to double the €2m per year plus bonus salary he currently commands at Porto, but FCInterNews claim the massive commission fees requested to push the deal through have put Inter off.
Milan are also keeping a close eye on the Herrera situation.
