Dries Mertens could miss Napoli’s Coppa Italia last-16 tie against Sassuolo on Sunday with a sprained ankle.
Napoli announced on Thursday that Mertens was unable to train after he sprained his ankle the day before.
Consequently, the Belgian forward is considered doubtful, as is flu victim Simone Verde and Marek Hamsik, who trained alone.
A rare chance could open up for German winger Amin Younes, who has yet to start for the Partenopei but recovered from his long-standing Achilles injury.
