Coric denies 'forced' remarks

Ante Coric insists his father never said he was ‘forced’ to join Roma and that it is an ‘honour’ to play for the Giallorossi.

Croatian outlet Index.hr had quoted Miljenko Coric as saying his son had no ‘choice’ but to accept Roma’s offer last summer.

However, the midfielder hit back in an Instagram post: “The statement attributed to my father, claiming that we were forced to accept Roma, was never given by my father or by anybody else..

“From the beginning it has been an honour to wear this shirt and my goal is to keep doing so as long as possible. I know that I will have to continue working hard to reach this objective. Forza Roma.”

Despite his pleas, injuries and competition for places have limited the 21-year-old to just 45 minutes of action for the Lupi this season.

Forza Roma The statement attributed to my father, claiming that we were forced to accept Roma, was never given by my father or by anybody else.
