Inter centre-back Andrea Ranocchia will be a free agent in July and is reportedly heading towards Bologna.
The former Nerazzurri captain turns 31 next month, but has not received a single minute of competitive football in this campaign.
He has been linked with several options, but there are reports he has agreed to join Bologna next season.
It is possible Inter will release the sometime Italy international six months early, primarily to stop paying his salary.
Ranocchia recently had loan spells with Sampdoria and Hull City.
