Patrick Cutrone was “glad to have been helpful to my teammates” after his brace beat Sampdoria and put Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter-final.
The youngster came off the bench for extra time and proved decisive with two splendid volleys on assists from Andrea Conti and Hakan Calhanoglu.
“I am very happy, above all that we got through to the next round. I’m glad to have been helpful to my teammates,” Cutrone told Rai Sport.
The Rossoneri will face Napoli or Sassuolo in the Coppa Italia quarter-final.
However, on Wednesday they will take on Juventus in Jeddah for the Italian Super Cup.
“We’re in good shape and will try to prepare as best we can for this appointment.”
