Roma plans to sign Ozan Kabak from Galatasaray hit problems, as Ivan Marcano reportedly refused a transfer the other way.
According to Il Tempo newspaper, the Giallorossi had hoped to put in place an exchange deal to reduce the €7.5m asking price for defender Kabak.
However, Marcano put a spanner in the works by turning down a move to Galatasaray.
The 31-year-old Spaniard arrived as a free agent from FC Porto over the summer, but managed only five competitive games between Serie A and the Champions League.
