Brescia boss Eugenio Corini claims Italy starlet Sandro Tonali will be ‘the new Daniele De Rossi’ and not another Andrea Pirlo.
Tonali had been heavily likened to Pirlo in playing style, stature and appearance, as well as also starting his career with Brescia, but Corini believes the 18-year-old will turn out to be more like the Roma captain.
“He’ll be the new De Rossi, a team player,” the former Palermo and Chievo man told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He doesn’t seem 18 years old in terms of how he copes with adversity, but he must remain focused on his work.
“I hope he has a better career than mine and plays for the national team.”
