Torino President Urbano Cairo laughed off reports West Ham United could poach Andrea Belotti for over €40m.
The rumour started on Friday with Cuore Toro and spread rapidly through the Italian media, via Sky Sport Italia, Sport Mediaset, Sportitalia and more.
“Of course Belotti is staying,” Cairo told reporters in the mixed zone after today’s 3-2 Serie A defeat to Roma.
Il Gallo Belotti has a €100m release clause in his contract, valid only for clubs outside of Italy, but it’s reported he could be allowed to leave if the offer reaches €50-60m.
West Ham aren't having much luck with their Serie A shopping, as they have also failed in bids for Inter striker Gabriel 'Gabigol' Barbosa and Genoa hitman Krzysztof Piatek.
