Inter continued their remarkable negative streak against Sassuolo, but this was their first ever stalemate at the 12th encounter.

The 0-0 draw at San Siro this evening represented the first time they have shared the spoils after seven Sassuolo victories and four for Inter.

It’s remarkable to think that the Nerazzurri represented a nightmare for Domenico Berardi and co in their early years, winning all three of their opening encounters.

It’s remarkable to think that the Nerazzurri represented a nightmare for Domenico Berardi and co in their early years, winning all three of their opening encounters.

Incredibly, two of those were 7-0 results, with the other 1-0, meaning Sassuolo didn’t score a goal past the Beneamata until their 3-1 victory in February 2015.

It has been all downhill since then for Inter, who have managed only one win (1-0 at the Mapei Stadium in December 2016), seven defeats and today’s draw.

At least this result did put an end to Sassuolo’s run of four consecutive victories.
