Inter are close to agreeing terms for Udinese attacking midfielder Rodrigo De Paul to join them from June for €30m plus bonuses, claim Sportitalia.
According to transfer pundit Alfredo Pedullà, negotiations reached an advanced stage following today’s meeting.
The Nerazzurri are eager to lock down the Argentina international now in order to avoid competition from Milan, Roma, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur.
Udinese want €35m for De Paul, while Inter are offering €30m plus performance-related bonuses.
It is likely the Nerazzurri will also send over some of their youth team players as part of the deal.
In fact, FCInterNews claim the cash sum will be closer to €18m plus one or two players, likely to be Xian Emmers and/or Andrea Adorante.
The 24-year-old has scored six goals with three assists in 19 Serie A appearances this season, earning him his first Argentina caps.
