Poland international Szymon Zurkowski is undergoing his Fiorentina medical this morning ahead of a €5m transfer from Gornik Zabrze.
The 21-year-old arrived at the test centre already wearing a Viola jersey.
It’s reported the deal is worth €3.7m plus another €1.3m in performance-related bonuses.
He’ll sign the contract, but will remain at current club Gornik Zabrze until the end of the season.

“I let my agent take care of everything. Fiorentina had already approached me last year, so I am happy they didn’t forget me and renewed the offer,” the 21-year-old told weszlo.com in Poland.
“It’s easier to join a club if you know they’ve been after you for a long time. My agent analysed all the proposals for my future and he thinks Fiorentina represent a good choice. I trust him and share his opinion. I am sure that I can grow and improve at Fiorentina.”
