Lazio defender Stefan Radu has been banned for four Coppa Italia games after his show of dissent to the referee against Inter on Thursday.
The FIGC’s sporting judiciary ruled on Friday that Radu was befitting of the punishment as ‘after the penalty was awarded to the opposing team, he vehemently contested the decision of the referee, shouting an disrespectful phrase.’
Furthermore, the defender was found to have ‘pushed the referee slightly afterwards, placing an arm on his chest’ at the end of Lazio’s quarter-final victory over Inter on penalties.
Atalanta pair Remo Freuler and Berat Djimsiti, plus Inter’s Roberto Gagliardini, have been given one-match bans.
The Dea have also been fined €5,000 after their fans set off smoke bombs during Wednesday’s 3-0 win against Juventus, while Milan were hit with a €20,000 penalty, their supporters having chanted territorial insults towards their Napoli counterparts.
Juventus boss Max Allegri has been handed a one-game touchline ban for showing ‘a blatantly controversial attitude against the referee’ at Azzurri d’Italia, ‘expressing his disappointment and cursing with an insulting expression.”
Finally, Lazio Coach Simone Inzaghi was only fined despite being sent to the stands against the Nerazzurri.
