Pioli: 'Make it perfect Viola week'

Stefano Pioli urged Fiorentina to get the victory against Udinese and “make it the perfect week” after their Coppa Italia triumph.

It kicks off at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

“The 7-1 win over Roma was a fantastic evening, but the Coppa Italia is a different competition and one we won’t return to until next month, so we’ve got to transfer that enthusiasm over to our Serie A games,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Udinese are desperate for points, but so are we, because it’s all very tight up there in the race for European qualification. This was always going to be an important week and we started it with a win at Chievo, then it went even better with Roma, so we can make it the perfect week against Udinese.”

Marco Benassi is still suspended, while Vitor Hugo pulled out of the squad with a muscular problem.

“The results have given us confidence and enthusiasm, which makes fatigue easier to push through. We’ve always got to remember the core of our philosophy, though, which is respect for the opponent, a battling spirit and focus for 95 minutes.

“Udinese are a completely different team to Roma, so it will be a very different game. Roma were like us, they wanted to take control of the ball, whereas with Udinese we must be wary of allowing counter-attacks.”

Fiorentina squad for Udinese: Brancolini, Lafont, Terracciano; Biraghi, Ceccherini, Hancko, Laurini, Milenkovic, Pezzella; Dabo, Edimilson Fernandes, Nordgaard, Gerson, Veretout; Chiesa, Graiciar, Mirallas, Muriel, Pjaca, Simeone
