Patrice Evra’s return to Juventus is “fantasy football,” said the veteran’s agent. “I don’t think they need him right now.”
There had been reports the 37-year-old offered himself to the club as a solution to the injury crisis, as they are without injured Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli.
“I don’t think that today, the way Juventus play now, they need him right now,” agent Federico Pastorello told Rai Sport.
“I am convinced Evra would be very happy about the idea, even if we haven’t talked about it, because we’ve had no contact with Juventus.
“Just purely in tactical terms, I don’t think he is the player they need right now. It sounds like fantasy football.”
Evra would be able to join Juve, as he is a free agent and has been ever since his contract with West Ham United expired in July.
