Inzaghi: 'Real Lazio with Frosinone'

Simone Inzaghi warned they need “a real Lazio performance” to beat Frosinone in tomorrow’s derby and praised new buy Romulo.

It kicks off on Monday at 18.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

“All victories help to boost confidence and we are coming off a good period of form, including a deserved place in the Coppa Italia semi-final, despite Inter’s late penalty,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“It’s always tough in a shoot-out, but we held our nerve and Thomas Strakosha was excellent. Juventus and Inter are in the past now, we have to focus on picking up valuable points against Frosinone.”

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is suspended with Wallace, Luiz Felipe and Patric injured.

“I am trying out a few different tactical situations. Ciro Immobile and Joaquin Correa together, with Felipe Caicedo as an alternative, is a pair that I like, just as Milinkovic and Luis Alberto are doing well in midfield.”

Lazio sold Martin Caceres to Juventus in the transfer window, but brought in Romulo from Genoa.

“Romulo has had a very strong career and showed he wanted to come to Lazio at all costs. He had two excellent training sessions with us and has the same chance as anyone else in the squad of starting tomorrow.

“I need to work out who gives me the most guarantees right now.”

Frosinone are still second-from-bottom, but received a massive boost with their 4-0 victory away to Bologna.

“We analysed Frosinone carefully, they play good football and they would’ve deserved better against Udinese. They are well-organised and we need a real Lazio performance.”
