Cesare Prandelli believes Genoa are on the right track with their January reinforcements, but “need to construct an identity.”
The Grifone have replaced Milan-bound Krzysztof Piatek with Antonio Sanabria, who has now scored in each of his two games for the club.
“President (Enrico Preziosi) is a volcano of ideas and often it pays off to follow his instincts,” Prandelli told Sky Sport Italia.
Genoa started Sanabria, Ivan Radovanovic and Lukas Lerager in the 1-1 draw with Sassuolo.
“We need a bit more time, as the transfer window only closed three days ago. We can all improve and together construct an identity for this team. It’s an exciting situation and the lads are ready to work.”
