Juventus target Cristian Romero has expressed his relief at the transfer window closing. “It’s over and I’m only thinking about Genoa.”
Romero was linked with Juve throughout January but remained at Genoa, helping them to a draw 1-1 with Sassuolo in Serie A on Sunday.
“We must be more careful when marking our opponents, but it’s something we’ll work on as of Tuesday,” the defender said after the game.
“We have to be even more determined so we can win in front of our fans. As for myself, I’d always played in a back four.
“The new faces? They’ve brought experience and security, and they’ve come across very well. We’ve all been focused on our defence, not just me.
“What does Prandelli tell me? That I must play calmly. The transfer window? It’s over and I’m only thinking about Genoa. After that we’ll see.”
