Beppe Iachini claims Empoli have ‘great regret on our part’ after they failed to ‘bring home what we deserved’ against Lazio on Thursday.
“In the last 5-6 games we’ve been involved in some unfavourable incidents, but there’s not much we can do about them,” the Coach said after his side’s 1-0 defeat.
“We put together some great moves but we lacked the last pass too often in the final third.

“For our commitment we deserved more, so there’s great regret on our part. We just have to keep working hard and playing with this character.
“In our last few games our performances have been good and close to winning ones.”
Ivan Provedel gifted Lazio the win with his mistake, which led to Felipe Caicedo’s penalty.
“These are things that can obviously change a game,” explained Iachini.
“We didn’t bring home what we deserved. Under pressure, it was better for him to kick it long but it happened and we won’t cover our faces.
“Then again, we did well on the field and gave away little. We must try to be more concrete going forward and I’m sure positive results will follow.”
