Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta are on sparkling form and recently thrashed Juventus 3-0 in the Coppa Italia quarter-final, are unbeaten in six Serie A rounds – winning four of them – during which they scored 19 goals.

Duvan Zapata leads the way with a remarkable tally of 18 goals in his last 12 appearances between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Gasp seems to have few doubts on his line-up, with Papu Gomez fresh from celebrating his birthday yesterday and Josip Ilicic back to full fitness.

The only concern is in defence, where Berat Djimsiti is not 100 per cent fit, so Gianluca Mancini is the favourite to start rather than Andrea Masiello.

Gennaro Gattuso seems to have found his Milan with the 4-3-3 formation, largely thanks to the January arrival of Paquetá and Piatek.

They might’ve cost a combined €70m, but they are already proving to be well worth it.

Poland international Piatek has 23 goals in 25 competitive games this season between Genoa and Milan, including four in as many games since joining the Rossoneri.

He is flanked by Suso and Hakan Calhanoglu, as Gattuso refuses to lose faith in the Turkey international, while Franck Kessie is up against his old club.

Davide Calabria is expected to get the nod rather than another Atalanta old boy, Andrea Conti, at right-back.

Cristian Zapata (who is Duvan’s cousin), Mattia Caldara, Jack Bonaventura and Pepe Reina are still out of action.

Atalanta (probable): Berisha; Toloi, Palomino, Mancini (Masiello); Hateboer, De Roon, Freuler, Castagne; Gomez; Ilicic, Duvan Zapata

Milan (probable): G Donnarumma; Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Rodriguez; Kessie, Bakayoko, Paquetá; Suso, Piatek, Calhanoglu
