Parma have finally confirmed the signing of teenage Brazil goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao from Cruzeiro.

Brazao’s contract was deposited with Lega Serie A on January 31, but only now have Parma announced his arrival as they tweeted a picture of him holding a club scarf.

The 18-year-old helped Brazil finish third at the 2017 U-17 World Cup and was called up to their senior squad in November.

It is understood his signing came in conjunction with Inter, who did not have any empty non-EU spots left but should have him in their ranks next season.

The Nerazzurri pulled off a similar deal for Julio Cesar in 2005, initially loaning him to Chievo on the same grounds.
