The case between Milan and former CEO Marco Fassone rumbles on as a new hearing is set for March 19.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports the decision was made by the labour court in Milan dealing with the case after both parties failed to reach an agreement on Thursday.

Calcio e Finanza writes the postponement will be ‘useful’ to see whether an out-of-court settlement can be found before then but accepts it will be ‘difficult’.

Fassone is suing the Rossoneri, reportedly to the tune of €30m in damages, for unfair dismissal after he was ousted by Elliott Management last summer.

Calcio e Finanza goes on to explain the club offered the 55-year-old a €2.5m parting gift on July 21 but he refused the offer, leading to his dismissal.
