Roma’s Champions League opponents FC Porto have temporarily suspended star defender Eder Militao after he was caught partying until 5am.
The Giallorossi won the first leg of their Round of 16 tie 2-1 at home and the decider will be in Portugal on March 6.
Militao was the most impressive Porto player at the Stadio Olimpico and even prompted rumours of Juventus transfer interest.
However, he was left out of the squad for Friday’s victory over Tondela due to disciplinary reasons.
It’s reported the teenager was caught at Porto B player Luizao’s birthday party on Wednesday until 5am, long past his curfew.
“There is no Militao here, no Conceicao. There is only FC Porto,” said Coach Sergio Conceicao.
“There are rules, there is discipline, the players know this. It is an internal matter we have already dealt with. Respect is very important.”
However, Conceicao confirmed Militao will be back in training on Tuesday.
