Gian Piero Gasperini is not concerned by Atalanta’s second consecutive defeat, as “it’s all going wrong at the moment” after a 2-0 loss to Torino.

The Orobici were one point off fourth place a week ago, but after losing to Milan and Torino find themselves seven points adrift, while Toro caught them in joint sixth position.

“We started well today and should’ve taken the lead, but instead we conceded against the run of play,” Gasp told Sky Sport Italia.

“Sometimes you get these periods in football, it’s all going wrong at the moment, you end up struggling and it’s not easy to turn things around.

“We conceded a strange goal just before half-time, then straight after the restart let in another, so the match changed completely.

“We have to accept these difficult moments, but are betting a lot on Wednesday’s Coppa Italia semi-final with Fiorentina. That is, assuming we don’t have any more injuries.”

Papu Gomez was already missing today along with suspended Marten De Roon, but Robin Gosens went off in the opening minutes.

“Gosens has a muscular issue, he seems to have hurt himself while kicking the ball. It’s a problem and will certainly take a little while. We hope to get Papu back on Wednesday.”
