Inter will wear a special jersey to celebrate 20 years of partnership with Nike against Milan next month.

The ‘Inter x Nike 20th Anniversary’ shirt mashes up 10 previous home designs and will be worn for the first and only time in the Derby della Madonnina on March 17.

“The jersey is like a roadmap of Inter’s recent history,” Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director, told the club’s official website.

“The jersey is like a roadmap of Inter’s recent history,” Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director, told the club’s official website.

“We picked out 10 designs from the past 20 years and some are synonymous with great victories while others are fan favourites.

“The real challenge was to get all these different striped patterns to work cohesively and it will be great to see the players wearing it in such a huge match.”

“It’s a jersey that stirs the memory. Each different pattern makes you think of favourite players, important matches and special seasons.

“We are proud of our relationship with Inter and this shirt is a great way of showing that.”

The Nerazzurri have also announced that ‘a vaporknit match-level version’ of the kit has been produced, limited to 1908 units to ‘honour’ their founding year.

2008-09: Centenary kit

2010-11: Club icon ‘Il Biscione’ (grass snake)

2013-14: Javier Zanetti’s final season

2017-18: Return to the Champions League

Back designs:

2009-10: Season of the treble

2011-12: Thin stripes are introduced to home shirt

2014-15: Pinstripes for the first time

2015-16: 25th anniversary of UEFA Cup triumph

2016-17: Inclusion of a ‘tonal linear graphic’
