Parma admit they cannot sign striker Roberto Inglese for the €25m quoted but are confident of an alternate agreement with Napoli.
Inglese joined Parma on loan with a €25m option to buy last summer and has scored eight Serie A goals for the Ducali, although the 27-year-old has not found the net since January.
“Inglese’s an important player,” sporting director Daniele Faggiano told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“He’s a great lad, who reads games as much as he runs and helps the team with his dirty work.
“At the end of the season I don’t know where he’ll go. We can’t keep him for the figures quoted, but you can never say never.
“The lad is happy and could help us [keep him], so we’ll see.”
