It is a revolutionary week at the Trigoria training ground, where Coach Eusebio Di Francesco was sacked to make way for Claudio Ranieri and director of sport Monchi terminated his contract by mutual consent less than 24 hours later.

This evening, chief medic Del Vescovo was also informed by directors Mauro Baldissoni and Guido Fienga that he would not be part of Ranieri’s staff going forward.

Del Vescovo had been at the club since 2012 in various roles, becoming chief medic in 2015.

He had been at the Villa Stuart clinic this morning to oversee tests for Lorenzo Pellegrini and Kostas Manolas.

The meetings and dismissals continued into the evening, with chief physio Damiano Stefanini also given his marching orders.

According to Pagine Romaniste, Di Francesco’s entire staff was dismissed, save for fitness coach Maurizio Fanchini, who had only arrived this summer.
