“We must have the hunger, the courage and the madness to believe we can cause an upset and get our fans fired up too,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Let’s prove that we are not afraid of anyone. I congratulate Gennaro Gattuso for being able to transform a group of players into a real team. We did the same, but unlike Milan, were not rewarded with the results we deserved.

“The performances are still strong and those give us confidence. We’ve got the opportunity to show our character and cause an upset.”

While the Rossoneri have star man Krzysztof Piatek in attack, Chievo have their own Polish centre-forward.

“I am convinced that Stepinski has all the characteristics necessary to play for a club like Milan. He works hard during the week in training, has character and is very determined.

“Piatek’s transfer from Genoa to Milan should also act as motivation for our forwards, to make them realise they can reach that level. Mariusz has what it takes, so I hope he scores two goals and Piatek gets zero.”

Chievo squad for Milan: Bragantini, Caprile, Sorrentino; Andreolli, Bani, Barba, Cesar, Depaoli, Frey, Jaroszynski, Rossettini; Burruchaga, Diousse, Giaccherini, Hetemaj, Kiyine, Piazon; Djordjevic, Grubac, Leris, Meggiorini, Pucciarelli, Stepinski, Vignato
