Chievo full-back Ezequiel Schelotto, on loan from Brighton, has undergone surgery to reconstruct his anterior cruciate ligament.
The 29-year-old only joined in January and made just four Serie A appearances before the serious injury during last week’s match against Torino.
Schelotto went under the knife at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome after he was diagnosed with a lesion to the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
His season is already effectively over.
Some of Schelotto’s previous clubs include Atalanta, Inter, Parma and Sassuolo.
