It’s reported Roma starlet Nicolò Zaniolo has avoided a serious calf injury, but remains in doubt for Monday’s match with Empoli.
The teenage sensation had pulled up during training with pain in his calf muscle today.
He went to the Villa Stuart clinic for tests, but Sky Sport Italia report no lesions were found.
That means it is not a serious problem, although it remains to be seen if Zaniolo will be risked for the Monday evening Serie A game.
Roma have a serious player shortage going into that Empoli meeting, as Edin Dzeko, Federico Fazio and Aleksandar Kolarov are suspended, with Kostas Manolas, Daniele De Rossi, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Cengiz Under and Javier Pastore injured.
It will be Coach Claudio Ranieri's debut after the dismissal of Eusebio Di Francesco.
